This policy governs all service orders placed through SellCodeApp's Services marketplace. It applies to both buyers and sellers and outlines the rules around order placement, cancellation, completion, disputes, and seller performance.

By placing or accepting a service order on SellCodeApp, both buyers and sellers agree to the terms set out in this policy. Please read carefully before engaging in any service transaction.

Buyer cancellation fee

Buyers who cancel after placing an order forfeit 20% of the order value.

Seller cancellation

If the seller cancels, the buyer receives a full 100% refund — no fees.

Auto-complete in 3 days

Orders auto-complete 3 days after the seller marks the work as done with no buyer response.

Dispute window

Buyers may open a dispute within 7 days of order completion. Admin decision is final.

Placing a service order

A service order is created when a buyer selects a service listing and completes payment. Once payment is confirmed, the seller is notified and the order becomes active. Both parties are bound by the terms of this policy from the moment an order is placed.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing the service description, delivery timeframe, and scope of work published by the seller before placing an order. Placing an order constitutes acceptance of the service terms as described in the listing.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation rules differ depending on which party initiates the cancellation.

Buyer cancels

20% cancellation fee applies

If a buyer cancels an order after it has been placed and accepted, 20% of the order value will be deducted. The remaining 80% will be refunded to the buyer's account.

Seller cancels

Full refund — no fee to buyer

If a seller cancels an order for any reason, the buyer receives a full 100% refund with no deductions or cancellation fees of any kind.

The 20% buyer cancellation fee exists to protect sellers from lost time and effort on work already begun. Buyers are strongly advised to review all service details carefully before placing an order.

Cancellation without fee — exception for overdue orders

If the seller has not completed and delivered the service within the delivery timeframe published on their listing, the buyer may cancel the order at no cost — the 20% cancellation fee does not apply in this case. A full 100% refund will be issued to the buyer automatically.

Order completion

An order is considered complete under either of the following conditions:

Buyer confirms completion

The buyer reviews the delivered work and manually marks the order as complete.

Auto-complete after 3 days

Once the seller marks the order as delivered, the buyer has 3 days to respond. If no action is taken within 3 days, the order is automatically marked as complete and payment is released to the seller.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing delivered work promptly. If you have concerns about the delivery, raise a dispute before the 3-day auto-complete window closes. Once an order is marked as complete — either manually or automatically — the dispute window begins.

Dispute resolution

If a buyer is not satisfied with the completed service, they may open a formal dispute through SellCodeApp's support system. The following rules apply:

Disputes must be opened within 7 days of the order completion date — whether completed manually by the buyer or automatically after the 3-day window. Disputes submitted after 7 days will not be accepted.

Dispute process

  • The buyer submits a dispute with a clear description of the issue and supporting evidence
  • The seller is notified and given the opportunity to respond
  • SellCodeApp's admin team reviews all evidence from both parties
  • The admin team's decision is final and binding on both parties

Dispute outcomes

Buyer wins dispute

100% refund issued

If the admin rules in the buyer's favor, the buyer receives a full 100% refund of the order value.

Seller wins dispute

Payment released to seller

If the admin rules in the seller's favor, the held payment is released to the seller in full.

Submitting a fraudulent or bad-faith dispute may result in account suspension. SellCodeApp reserves the right to penalize users who abuse the dispute system.

Seller delivery obligations

Sellers are fully responsible for completing and delivering their service within the delivery timeframe published on their listing. The published delivery time is a binding commitment to the buyer.

Overdue orders

If a seller fails to deliver the completed service within the published timeframe:

  • The order will be automatically cancelled by the system
  • The buyer will receive a full 100% refund at no cost
  • The cancellation will be recorded against the seller's account

Seller cancellation rate penalty

SellCodeApp monitors seller cancellation rates on a monthly basis. If a seller's auto-cancelled or manually cancelled orders exceed 20% of total orders received in a given month, a withdrawal fee surcharge of 5% will be applied to that seller's withdrawals in the following month.

Removal of the 5% surcharge

The 5% withdrawal surcharge is reviewed every month. It will be removed in the following month when the seller's order completion rate improves to 80% or above for that review month. Sellers are encouraged to monitor their completion rate from their dashboard to avoid ongoing penalties.

Repeated high cancellation rates may result in additional penalties including listing restrictions or account suspension, at SellCodeApp's discretion.

Seller responsibilities

By listing a service on SellCodeApp, sellers commit to the following:

  • Delivering the service exactly as described in the listing — no scope reductions after order placement
  • Completing the work within the published delivery timeframe
  • Communicating proactively with the buyer if any delays or issues arise
  • Not requesting payment or communication outside the SellCodeApp platform
  • Maintaining a professional standard of work throughout the engagement
  • Keeping service listing descriptions accurate and up to date

Buyer responsibilities

Buyers engaging with services on SellCodeApp agree to the following:

  • Reading and understanding the full service description before placing an order
  • Providing clear, timely requirements and feedback to the seller to facilitate delivery
  • Reviewing delivered work within the 3-day response window to avoid auto-completion
  • Not requesting work that falls outside the published scope of the service listing
  • Raising legitimate disputes only — not as a means to obtain free work
  • Accepting that the 20% cancellation fee applies when cancelling a confirmed order
